Get active

Being active is good for you. And if you can help other people at the same time – all the better. Get friends and family to sponsor you for your next challenge, whether it’s a cycle race, half marathon or walk. Or organise a charity match between two football clubs. It doesn’t always have to be sport – why not organise a bake sale to raise money for one of our projects, or knit and sell jumpers for the cold days? The sky’s the limit when it comes to organising your own fundraising event. With your fundraising campaign for DSW, you show your full commitment to sustainable population development and a future worth living for young people in East Africa.

A source of inspiration:

Get active

Whether you are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, jogging 20 kilometres at a time for the first time, or kayaking the Danube, whatever personal challenge you set yourself, do it for a good cause. You will be supporting the sexual rights and health of young women in East Africa and the economic and political empowerment of local youth.

Street festival

Are you and your neighbours organising astreet party to celebrate your community and neighbourhood? With a range of activities from food and entertainment to stalls, communities can come together and raise funds. Or you can give us apce for a stand and we can contribute to your festival in an inclusive, informative and interactive way.

Design & sell

Designing and creating something yourself is a wonderful way to express your creativity. It’s even better to then sell these things successfully at festivals, stalls or digital platforms and do something good at the same time. By selling your own products, you can not only share your passion, but also make a positive contribution by donating part of your proceeds to charity or supporting local initiatives.

Charity concert

Charity concerts are a unique opportunity to get involved in a good cause. Through the power of music, people come together to raise money for important social projects. Inspiring performances and mutual support create an atmosphere of solidarity and commitment. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

The classic charity run at a school. Popular, successful and sustainable for decades. It doesn’t matter whether you take part as a class or as a whole school. A charity run is a great way to do good while raising awareness of important international issues such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals or sexual and reproductive rights and young women’s health.
